OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, November 2, 6-11pm
DESCRIPTION: A solo exhibition of recent paintings and drawings by Blade Wynne focusing on nature oriented subject and floating tires. In Exits and Entrances, Particular attention is paid to conveying the substance of things in simple graphic gestures. The effects of light on matter and the resulting illusions of shadow and reflection are continuously explored. Fused with a comic pathos, the subjects are painted in a reductive manner, meditating on dichotomies of gesture/field, background/foreground and form/void.
